Rijksstudio is celebrating its first anniversary. In this first year, quite a few Rijksstudios have been created: there are now at 112,000 (and counting). It has been amazing to see what kinds of items people have chosen from the collections. Rijksstudio users have created wonderful collections based on subjects that we would never have come up with the museum by itself (a good example: fresh fish with lemon juice). Many people have also created entirely new works of art in Rijksstudio.
Inspired by the new creations so far, Rijksmuseum is now pleased to introduce the Rijksstudio Award, which is – you guessed it – a design competition, but not just for designers.
- Everyone can participate. Young, old, professional, amateur, individual or group.
- Anything goes! Design, fine art, applied art, photographs, video, product ideas … literally anything!
- A jury of renowned international experts will judge the designs.
As you have already created your own Rijksstudio, we cordially invite you to participate in this unique competition. The closing date for entries is 1 March 2014.
